Use our site to find out about Babcock product information,
specify custom products, download PDF files, and request quotes. Please click on a title below for detailed instructions. |
Search Types and RFQs
Parametric Search: access detailed product information and configure custom
products.
Product Line Specs / Terminology & Application: use our directory trees to find product information, application information, and engineering
design data.
Part Number Search:
identify products with partial part numbers, competitor part numbers, and search our database via keyword for products,
engineering data, and terminology.
Quote Bin: build
a 'shopping cart' and request a quote from a local distributor or representative.
Downloadable Files
PDF files are available for each
product type that contain the same specification data available in our online and printed catalogs. To download
these files so as to view and print them, you need Adobe Acrobat™ Reader (it's free).
When applicable, CAD drawing files
are also available for downloading.
You will find links to downloadable files on product information pages which are accessed via all three search types; parametric, directory tree, and text search.

Parametric
Search
|
When you get to a catalog page, specify one or more parameters in
the Parametric Search
page that appears in the right frame of your browser (if you choose to use another search type first, a link is
provided in the leftmost frame to return the parametric search frame to yor window). Click the Match button at the
bottom of the form. A parts list will appear that match your chosen parameters. If the list is too long or not
long enough, click on the Refine Parameters button and define more or fewer parameters.
Once an exact or near match is found in the parts list page, click on its part number or button. A product information
page will appear (for more information about the product's line specifications use the Product Line Specs directory tree
— see below). If you want a quote for that part, click the Add
To Quote button. Fill in the quantity desired in the page
that appears and click Okay.
If a 'Special' or 'Other Value' is chosen for a parameter, a window will appear that will provide fields for you
to specify the values you desire. When completed, click the Configure
Part Number button. A product information page will result
with a generated part number and specifications for that general product. If you wish to obtain a quote for that
part, use the Add To Quote button, fill in the quantity in the page that appears and click Okay.

Product Line Specs
|
The Product
Line Specs directory tree resides on the leftmost frame
of our catalog and contains links to our stock product line, associated product information, and PDF files.
Use the arrows to open and close product category and product types. Click on the buttons within the product type
lists to access specific information.
To find and choose parts in the Product Line Specs, open a category and then a product type. Click the Stock Spec List button. A standard
product line list will appear and includes specification tables and links to more product information. Click on
a part number or its button to link to these information pages. To request a quote, click the Add to Quote Bin and fill in the
quantity in the page that appears and click Okay.
The directory trees also include links to:
- specific categories of product data
- application information
- engineering information
- terminology and glossaries
- product representatives and distributors

Part Number Search
|
Use partial or complete part numbers to search our database or search
for terms by entering them in the Part Number Search text box in the leftmost frame of our catalog. Entry of a complete part
number will access its product information while incomplete part numbers and terms will generate a descriptive
list of 'hits' and links.
Once a product information page is accessed you can create a quote bin by clicking Add To Quote or modify the part
to your specifications by clicking the Special Options button. Make your modifications in that page. First use the Add Special buttons
for each modification. The page will refresh for each button you click so please choose all of the parameters you
want to modify prior to filling out the entry forms. When completed click the Add
to Quote Bin and fill in the quantity in the page that appears
and click Okay.

Quote Bin
|
Stock part numbers, 'special' part numbers, specifications, and
the quantity of your chosen items are compiled in the Quote
Bin. Complete the form, click the enter button, and your
local distributor or representative contact information will appear. Feel free to contact them for verification,
technical questions, and delivery times. Otherwise, we will contact you about the quote.
Access the Quote Bin
anytime by clicking the Quote Bin button in the leftmost frame of our catalog pages.
